Allow me, if there is no commercial offer, demand can only disappear
The commercial offer was there. The watches were available. It is no coincidence that the 595 and the C3 both ended up in the sales. People were not buying them in large numbers. Demand had already begun to disappear.

I think that was Kip’s point.
In that arena, I have a quartz chronograph C3. While I have other quartz watches and other chronos, my CW C3 is my least worn watch in my collection. I even offered it to my brother and after a time he gave it back. It’s a decent watch but it lacks the wow-factor for me. Adding Morgan wings doesn’t make it any more appealing. I suspect I’m not the only one.

I own a C5 quartz, and three C3s (one from each generation). I think they are great for quick grabs when you are in a rush or so. I don't have anything negative to say about them either, and they were all great deals. But moving foward it's only automatic for me. I just find them more interesting and "alive." Any quartz will always remind me of a cheap Walmart watch; on the inside anyway. [-(

Question for the insiders...

With the name (12) and date (6) placement on the Sealander as well as the Tide and Anthrocopene C60s, I feel like it is inevitable that those dial changes make their way to the full C60 line-up. In a v3.5 I guess it would be. Anyone heard anything about that? Any intel to share on when/if that's happening?

Thanks!

I do wonder if CW would consider making a quartz version of the new C63 Sealander?
I think this would be an excellent beater or entry level watch. Say, 8-10mm thick, 200m WR, about £300.
The perfect watch for a holiday or for work if one doesn't fancy scratching a more prestigious model from CW.
To me this makes sense.

Unlikely to see a C63 quartz as CW has been moving away from quartz movements for some time.

The last quartz watches built were the C65 AM 1 and 2 VEV Special Editions in March. The remaining quartz models in stock are the C3 GrandTourer and Morgans. These were built prior to March.

I think the possibilities are good, but you might have to wait until the next Loupe is launched.

This was my fear, Kip.
I've noticed that quartz was ,unmistakably, taking a back seat. Perhaps I was hoping against hope.
To me it made sense to have a quartz beater to fall back on or throw in a suitcase as a backup. The C63, to me, seemed to fit this perfectly.

Ta da! I didn’t think that CW would wait until the next loupe before the next release, but this was quicker than expected. I’ve never been in the market for a green watch, but really like the way they’ve done these. At under £500 (with voucher) it’s almost tempting…….

Did anyone fill out the survey about in-house movements? I feel like CW might be pushing once more into the higher end with a cool in-house piece?

Those and the blue are really nice, but I am hoping/waiting for v3.5 (or 4) of the C60 though. :(
