New Strap Packaging

Post by JAFO »

Well, I just received a couple of straps in the post, and the packaging seems to have changed.

Instead of the box with the tear-off seal, it's now a pack with a slide out tray, which is suitably recyclable, but also reuseable, which I think is an improvement. Nice straps too.

Tan oak leather strap, and a brown tiber leather strap, which I trust will soften up with wear.

Sounds like the strap sleeve designed to go in the base of the main/outer packaging of the 'coffin' Watch box.

Not really. Here's a pic, minus strap. The card tray slides into the black sleeve.

Ahhh. I see what you mean now. I had it in mind that the cut out in the watch box wasn't as large.

Got to admire the optimism of someone opening the bids at £2 for one!

^^^^ Might be useful for someone who wants a 'full set' for their watch with spare strap. :-k :-k

I've had both old and new packaging, the latter being thinner which might also be cheaper to post? Definitely more recyclable.
