It’s not for me, but £495 on the rubber or leather feels like very good value.
Re: C65 Divetimer Special Edition
I quite like that, If only I had the spare cash after going for the 1VEV...

Re: C65 Divetimer Special Edition
Reminds me of the Apple Watch Infograph face and that's not a compliment.
Definitely not for me, I just don't understand CW's intoxication with "vintage" inspiration that IMO ultimately spoils what could be a really likeable VFM watch. It's a bit like Marks and Spencer's good value and decent basic design but then the whole item being spoiled by adding a parrot or something else that's twee, kitch or naff.
For me it's a shame they didn't use the case, blue bezel without minute markers, a matching blue dial with applied batons and Arabic numeral(s) and the Christopher Ward at 12o'clock for those of us that liked the C65 auto diver but not with the name at 9o'clock or the blobs. Still could have been a limited edition.

Re: C65 Divetimer Special Edition
I really quite like that, one for the diving cognoscenti. Likely to only appeal to 'genuine' divers; 'desk divers' need not apply. Obviously the no deco stop limits are generally written on tables or a function of a dive comp these days. I personally really like the colourways, the centred branding at 12, not to mention the hand wound movement. I could see this becoming something of a CW classic, given its small, limited run.

Re: C65 Divetimer Special Edition
I've seen the Vulcain watch before, on which the dial is based.
Really, really like the multiple colours and will be a great compatriot to a C65 Chronograph.
LE gives me the opportunity to get a memorable serial number.
Its interesting that CW are billing it as the swansong of the handwound SW210. Are they moving on to a different HW movement or will it be Automatic all the way from here?

Re: C65 Divetimer Special Edition
This, along with the C65 Chronograph, and the C65 SC in ocean blue would make for a wonderfully colorful, retro dive watch mini collection.
I’m not sure this is for me, but I appreciate the effort.

Many watches from the 60s and 70s had the decomp tables on them.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 2:42 pm I've seen the Vulcain watch before, on which the dial is based.

Definitely an interesting point about the movement. I couldn't find anything in a quick search saying it was discontinued (although I did find a reference to the SW210-1). So, not sure what CW is getting at there. I would think hand winding would not be off of the table in a dress watch but maybe that is evidence that there are no dress options coming? They were a little vague.
I'm not sure I'll pull the trigger but I like it. 11.5 mm thick!

Did anyone else notice that there's a C60 Apex on the website too?

Re: C65 Divetimer Special Edition
I like the look of it. But that’s not really surprising, as I do like vintage inspired watches.
At least it’s a little different than just knocking out a blue dial C65 with logo at 12.
One reason that I won’t buy it though - a pointless screw down crown on a hand wound watch with a limited power reserve. Why, just why!

think they probably timed the release to after voucher expiry purposely.undetterred wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 3:30 pm I like it,just a pity voucher don't work, still debating on pulling trigger.
