Always get a good laugh at that "stability, integrity and a good sense of humour" response.
AKA "I've got no idea".

As for the watch? "Keep it simple, Stupid".

I’m thinking of that scene from “What Women Want”, with Helen Hunt and Mel Gibson.

“Don’t look at his wrist, don’t look at his wrist...oh my God, I just looked at his wrist!”

A nice dress watch would be perfect (I’d probably wear my Cartier) but for goodness sake don’t keep looking at it. In fact, try not to look at it at all.

Haha, when I was a teenager my date of choice would find more appeal in a studded leather wristband.
In my 20s a Tag Heuer would show you were a successful or serious young man who liked the finer things 😆. I was a free spirit and no watch was the norm on a date or not.
In my 30s a dive watch on hols (quartz) and a bling watch for the office, on a bracelet of course. On a date, ermmm whichever I had on that day (1 of the 2 watch collection) maybe thats where i went wrong?
In my 40s suddenly more selective and a quality automatic (chrono ideally). Ona date, well I wouldn't know 🙄.
50s I've forgotten what a date is and would just wear what I wanted. Im not sure that a woman who was impressed or not with my watch would be for me. (Maybe not a cartoon watch)

Hmmmmm. I reckon if I had a 1st date with a lucky lady on Saturday then my number one rule would to not wear my Rolex. She either wouldn't notice, think I was a walloper if she did notice, or her eyes would light up with the misunderstanding that I was loaded. I'd only be happy with it not being noticed 😂
Anything else would suffice I reckon.

Alternatively, if she referred to it by the reference number, you’d know you found a keeper!
