C60 Bronze

Post by jimbo »

I am liking the New C60 Bronze cosc.

Has anyone got one on a different strap or bracelet they could show me a photo of please?

Would the bronze watch work on a steel bracelet?

I ask cause i likes the watch, but would wear it in the pool/sea, and wouldn't on a strap

Cheers Jimbo

I haven't got this watch (although I do have a C65 Ombre bronze).

I don't recollect anyone pulling off, or attempting to, a steel bracelet on a bronze watch. I think if you were going swimming in it, then a rubber strap would be the obvious choice. CW's own Hybrid strap is waterproof and comes with bronze hardware.

The distressed vintage strap the watch comes on looks great (I got this with my Ombre) but the leather wears very quickly and so if I were buyig the watch I would definitely go for the Hybrid as an extra strap.

I have had mine on red brown crocodile leather, which dresses it up somewhat, and previously on a Watchgecko racing leather strap, though not for swimming obviously.

I have also worn it on an Erika’s Original MN strap, which is suitable for swimming. Bronze hardware is available for an extra charge.

Bracelet option?

How about gunmetal, as used on the Abyss and Lympstone models?

I thought Zelos had just produced a watch with a bronze on steel strap. You can't have all bronze unless you want a green wrist. You can get bronze coloured mesh bracelets.

I reckon your best bet is probably a rubber or Nato with bronze hardware. Watchgecko do a very nice and soft blue tropic with the option for a bronze buckle.

Oh golly, that's very er.... gold?

I went with a brown leather 2-part zulu with bronze fittings as shown.
I've just been looking for a bronze bracelet for a different watch but without any success.

Indeed they have

Bronze on the outside, stainless steel on the inside.

Not sure how popular they have proved. The recent release of the 40mm bronze swordfish watches sold out very quickly but the optional bracelet is still available several weeks later.

Blimey didn't expect such good response so quickly, thanks chaps.

I like the idea of a "Nato" or rubber strap best.

The idea of the New C60, looking rugged, bronze is different, plus the movement makes it very "want one"

The patinated version could pass the “What this old thing? I’ve had it for ages...” test.

I had this thought too, as the bracelet would match the bezel (kind of). So I thought I'd better mock it up in Photoshop:

I think in this case a nice CW rubber strap with fitted ends and matching hardware would be what the doctor ordered.
