I think at the moment it may be that some/many/most staff are working from home because of covid. Calls may be forwarded to a staff members home phone, but if the line is busy it might just not get answered as there is no switchboard to deal with it. So emails do get seen, but phones might not get answered.
Not trying to defend CW, but it might be that. I deal with a company who does this, and I no longer try to phone.

I tried to get replacement bracelet pins for a watch under warranty from gnomn. And it was like pulling teeth. Cwl never any issues for me but I haven't had to deal with them as much recently .
