Mike France Interview

Post by TheBeatles »

For those that may miss it:-

https://timeandtidewatches.com/mike-fra ... -new-dawn/

I’m assuming it is THE Mike France, CW not mentioned at all.

Perhaps Mods may want to move this to Other Brands.

Brian, it says in the first paragraph "Christopher Ward Founder Mike France" and there's also a photo of the man himself :)

Thanks for the link, will have a proper read later.

Oops, thanks Patrick

I missed the mention, but wasn’t sure what he looked like.

Must concentrate harder when reading.

Interesting read. Thanks for posting. Especially the bit about British nano-tech removing the need for lubrication and therefore, servicing of watch movements! Ever!

Pretty put off by their first sentence having a crack at the Royal Family to be honest.

People can’t just stay on topic anymore. It’s not necessarily political, but the brain rot of political division has infiltrated everything and has people making fools of themselves, and for no reason.

I don’t have a dog in any Royals fight, but I don’t care for having to listen to it in an article about the watchmaking industry. Makes no sense other than to show your brain rot.

Yes I was put off by the comment about the Royal Family albeit that's not necessarily Mike Frances' view.

Sack the proof reader!
I didn't get past the first 3 paragraphs before I gave up - some of the grammar, punctuation and spelling leaves a lot to be desired!

It seems a bit silly to start an article like this. Politics are best kept out of most things due to derision and associated and inevitable emotions. I'll leave it that but thanks for the link I will have a read later tonight 👍

Roger Smith consulting on a nanotechnology project that would do away with the need for lubrication in watches..... and then the world! That's pretty amazing

Pretty awesome, huh!?!

About 10 years ago Damasko was heavily pushing nanotechnology and so far I just haven’t seen it pan out. It’s a big investment to research, produce, and then warranty.
