Re: My Solution to the AM GT, 1 VEV, 2 VEV Conundrum
Personally I think it a shame that CW are (apparently) pulling away from quartz. There is a lot to be said for a quartz chrono especially if it has a top end high accuracy movement. CW have made some excellent quartz chronos over past years, plus you get better functionality than you would with a mechanical chronograph (split times etc).
My VEV2 arrived yesterday - love it. Can't understand why any are still available.

Of my now 9 CW watches, 7 are quartz and 2 are mechanical HW. My favorite is probably still my first, a C7 Rapide Quartz. It's reliable, always ready to go, and as a 3-hander, is easy to read.bonecrusher wrote: ↑Wed Mar 10, 2021 10:13 pm Personally I think it a shame that CW are (apparently) pulling away from quartz. Congrats on the Vev2. The DLC bezel is big improvement over anodized bezels.

Love my CW quartz watches, especially my C7 Rapide that's been on the wrist for the last 3 days...
I have 4 CW's, 3 of them quartz.
Personally speaking, gutted if they stop producing quartz
Oh and that's a lovely blue C7

Same here, After I regain my political capital at home, I will probably start skimming listings for a Rapide Panda and see if any thing intriguing pops up in the process

I love your thinking. Sometimes when presented with a conundrum the best thing to do is to take a step sideways and bypass it altogether. And you found a great solution
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Excellent choice. As missF says, it's always good to sidestep a conundrum.
