2021 release wish list
I have just the one CW watch (blue C65 hand-winder) and it's a keeper especially now I have found the strap that for me really "turns it on".
During 2020 there have been some near-misses, close-but-no-cigar releases.
I liked the C60 40mm Sapphire but there's only so much room for blue watches in my life. 3 is enough
So for me another colour way of the Sapphire is on my wish-list. Grey please, and with a steel 12 hour bezel. Not a lot of those in the current CW catalogue! I'd buy that watch in a blink of an eye.
It would be interesting to see
(a) would that watch or similar be interesting to other folk?
(b) what other watches would CW fans like to see?

I won't say. It would probably be the Kiss of Death. But if they did it I'd probably buy it.

A refresh of the C20 would be nice, or a 40mm fixed bezel sports watch.
I found the old 43mm classic a bit too big and not all that inspiring.
Edit: A 5 day SH21 version would make it a bit special.

I'll go with that, although with the addition of 38mm sizesMarkingTime wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 10:43 pm A refresh of the C20 would be nice, or a 40mm fixed bezel sports watch.
It's one area of the market that isn't over-saturated at present and the options for a competitively priced, well designed integrated bracelet watch are very limited and something that perhaps CW could capitalise on.
In fact, the only half-decent one under £1500 I can think of is the ML Aikon.
Heck, they could even design a dive bezel version if that's the core focus.
Also, a revamp of their dress range to include some smaller cases (36-38mm).
If the recent TV advertising is really generating an increase in brand awareness among the general public, it could be a good time to start looking at models that can be marketed as unisex.

Re: 2021 release wish list
38mm would be good too. Dress watches always wear bigger due to a greater dial to bezel ratio.StrappedUp wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 11:25 amI'll go with that, although with the addition of 38mm sizesMarkingTime wrote: ↑Sun Dec 27, 2020 10:43 pm A refresh of the C20 would be nice, or a 40mm fixed bezel sports watch.

Re: 2021 release wish list
My understanding from the various Mike France interviews is that the 40mm watches have pretty much killed off the 38mm watches. I suspect that a 36 - 38mm watch is not going to happen any time soon.

Re: 2021 release wish list
Invicta sell loads of "comic" variants of their watches, and I've nearly bitten a couple of times. Anyway the Flash and Batman variants, and so on - they always market the 46mm as mens, and the 38mm as ladies, and I really can't see any difference other than the size.
Re: 2021 release wish list
Following on though, it did put me off, 46mm is too big, but I wasn't sure about buying a "ladies watch" for myself.

I do believe that he is referring to the C60s whenever this is mentioned. Or at least I hope soalbionphoto wrote: ↑Mon Dec 28, 2020 7:04 pm My understanding from the various Mike France interviews is that the 40mm watches have pretty much killed off the 38mm watches. Re: 2021 release wish list
He is referring to the C60 models. That's correct. However, looking at the history of the "dress watch" line and longevity of models within it, I'm still not convinced that a 36 - 38mm watch is going to be launched any time soon. The "enthusiast/online watch community" likes this size but it has to be a commercial success outside that group. As a unisex watch it may work but then CW (and a lot of other brands too) will have to figure out how to market such a thing properly to both men and women.

A c60 Sapphire grey (or blue for that matter) with a steel 12 hour bezel would be a solid offering
A C60 40MM Black Gold variant (I loved the C65 Black Gold but I'm growing tired of the entire retro trend). Would be amazing if they put the SH21 in it.
A modern riff that brings the Type XX/XXI designs into the 21st century.

C60 42mm white dial, black bezel, with bright orange GMT hand, and a COSC option would be nice.

Re: 2021 release wish list
I’d love to see an non-LE version of the C65 Anthropocene. I white dial C65 GMT would be fantastic, I think.
I’d also like to see some new C7s
And maybe a different color way for the C65 World Timer GMT
+1 to that!
