Great review and pics. The Black Sand dial is growing on me, even though I bought the blue.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Review
Excellent review! Bravo.
I think the blue version may pop more on steel bracelet but on strap, the brown on orange strap seems to make more sense aesthetically than blue on the turquoise strap.
But that's a very subjective view of course, and I've not seen the watch in real life.

I've worn the black sand on both the orange strap and the bracelet quite a lot now. I've come to prefer it on the bracelet. The orange strap is great for a pop of colour but the bracelet is the better long term choice, IMO.asqwerth wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 5:09 am Excellent review! Bravo.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Review
I just posted all of my strap options here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=54844&p=834233#p834233
I really like the bracelet too.
I think a nice tan NATO looks great with the blue. This one from Worn & Wound has orange stitching witch plays nicely off of the second hand.

The Super Compressor is a real strap monster isn't it.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Review
I just re-read your review again Mark, really exceptionally written and laid out with brilliant photos.
Regarding the strap feeling shorter, I think Guy is right in his thinking about the case design and lug to lug because when I sized the bracelet for my Deep Blue Super Compressor, I have a few C65's so I sized it the same as these. But it is much tighter than my other C65's on a bracelet and I'll have to pop back in another link soon.

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Review
I missed this review first time around so I’m glad it has re-emerged. Better writing than anything I read of the main watch reviewers. Great stuff.
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Re: Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Review
Funny enough I went through the same thought process. Set it up the same as my c65 yellow and even on the last notch it is a touch tight . Will put a link back in today and hope that doesn’t make it a touch too loose!MiniMpi wrote: ↑Sun Mar 28, 2021 6:44 am

Further information on this, I put a link back in to the bracelet on my Deep Blue SC bracelet yesterday as it was much tighter than any other bracelets on my other C65's. It was way too loose then ! Can't win lol
So removed the extra bracelet and will work away the way it is, I find it okay currently but if it gets very warm in the summer I might have to put the link back in again and try it out.
Similarly I fitted a camel vintage oak strap to my recent Black Sand SC and I always put it on the third tightest hole on all my other C65's but with the SC it's on the fourth tightest hole.
So the case shape and lugs definitely have an effect on this.
