I was looking at some C65 Diver videos on YouTube as they were in the recent sale. The beauty of the light-catcher case is obvious in these videos. My question: Does the red-gold coating block the shine of the polished bits at all or is it about the same from the other C65s you've seen? I can see the different finishing in your photos but the coating makes it a bit dark. Thanks. :)
Hi Joseph - This is my only C65 watch so I don't have any experience with other C65 light catcher cases to compare it with. I did look at the watch under my desk lights. The polished sections are shiny and the matte sections are matte. Because of the copper/red colour the reflections might not be quite as strong as those from a stainless steel case but they are definitely there. In some lights the contrast between the polished and brushed surfaces is quite strong but I feel the contrast between the two finishes may be stronger in the stainless versions.
Hope this helps
