The Indefatigable Sphinx

Post by Victor88 »

I’ve just been sent a link to Mr Jones Watches’ latest offering, The Indefatigable Sphinx. Powered by a Chr Ward / JJ jump hour movement. Looks fun!

I remember talk of the meeting between Mr Jones and Mr Ward back when it happened, but assumed this project died when Chris left the company.

It’s an interesting and novel watch, but way too busy for me.

Sort of “Ancient Egypt meets Crystal Tipps with lyrics by Kate Bush”.

Totally crackers but I rather like it.

A new company for me - I love what I see so long as you have plenty time and daylight available for reading the time! Any of these would make me smile but I especially love the sun moon watch. :D
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

A further note of caution - I bought the Number Cruncher in the last Black Friday sale, but had to return the watch as I couldn’t read the time without my reading glasses! It was a lovely watch though, and really unusual in the way that the monster had been printed on not the underside of the crystal.

I own a couple of their pieces which are a lot of fun to wear. Excellent customer service both online and at their London store, as well as (relative) affordability make dealing with them a no brainer.
