Astonishing! Messner’s Fourteen in half a year! And Everest-Lhotse-Makalu in 48 hours.
Fantastic pick-up, Guy!

Im sat here genuinely considering moving my Breitling on in order to get it.

Congrats on a great piece.
I had to read all the way through to the end of the post to figure out why Bremont had 'L'eft and 'R'ight handed straps, though.

I need to take more notice....I thought L was for leather and R was for rubber

^^^^ You're both wrong, I'm afraid to say.
I should have been more specific. The straps are 'R' = Regular and 'L' = Long.

I did figure that out, hence the comment of 'reading all the way to the end'. I figured it out when you mentioned the R strap was shorter than you would have liked and would prefer the L strap.

Astonishing! Messner’s Fourteen in half a year! And Everest-Lhotse-Makalu in 48 hours.
He made the news again earlier this year when he led the first team to climb K2 in winter. This had never been done before and was considered one of the last unclaimed feats in mountaineering, and he did it without oxygen.

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

Maybe, maybe not, Mark.
It has however given me cause to step back and assess the state of my collection; as in, I feel there is a major cull /consolidation on the horizon.
