I’d like to see a bicompax with a jump hour for the chrono hours instead of a date.
How about a bicompax with a jump hour for Chrono hours plus a big date and a power reserve? I’d buy one of these tomorrow if I could justify the cost of one, which I currently can’t.

While it isn't as pretty for certain, Damasko makes some great center seconds chronos.

Here is a 60 minute:

Same with a 12 hour totalizer:

Granted these are firmly planted in the tool watch genre and not in the same league as the Glashutte but the price isn't as eye watering either. Modified 7750 design.

^^^ Sorry rkovars and Sinn, but I can’t see past the Glashutte. It even has a display case back that’s quite a looker. I did the math, I only need to save roughly $1 per day until I retire in 35 years to have enough money. But then maybe there will be something new by then… oh well, might as well start saving!

I have noticed lately that a lot of manufacturers are only putting 30-60 minute total time subdials on their chronographs, is this all people want?

Normally myself if I am using my chronograph it is to time something a bit longer than 60 mins i.e a long walk/hike of perhaps a flight.

What are other peoples views on this, do you really only need the 30-60 mins on offer?
For many years my "one watch" was a Seiko 7T34 Flightmaster which had a 30 minute subdial but no hour-count facility. Like you I preferred - and still prefer the ability to time events exceeding 30 minutes so an elapsed hour subdial is pretty essential.

I used to own an Oris Ralph Schumacher that I really liked, but for one thing.
It had a Chrono second hand, 30 minute subdial & an hour subdial, but no normal second hand, such a shame.

I'm with @JTC and @rkovars, the Damasko DC80 range with the central minutes/seconds is highly functional, practical, durable and legible .. especially for those of us with, er, sub-optimal eyesight shall we say! I can imagine it would be handier than squinting at little sub-dials. :D
