Incoming. Can you guess?

Post by Amor Vincit Omnia »

I know, I know. You all know that I hate these “Incoming Guessing Games”. The only reason being that I am completely useless at them because I can never remember who has what or who has mentioned what. Fine admission for a moderator, eh?

Anyway, you guys put me through the mill trying to work out what you’ve got, so I thought I’d try the same. Get my own back, so to speak. But some of you are just so good at this that I’ll probably fail dismally.

Anyway, it’s a watch. In a box. Here’s a picture of the box. It’s blurred. Your time starts – NOW!

One of those strange non mechanical watches that are often worn whilst playing golf?

Given the amount of time I’m spending (and want to spend) between golf and the gym, it seemed sensible to pick up a real grab and go. I picked this one because it’s relatively small, quite slim and very light. Solar and RC. Didn’t break the bank.

Ah very nice! I've been looking at square G-shocks for a while. I think I'd be tempted to convert it to a NATO myself. There is a new 'U' version inbound at some point - been available in Japan for a while now. No real difference really, main ones (for me anyway) are LED backlight, you can change how long the backlight is on for and (more importantly) you can change the date format to DD/M.

^^^ Thank you. Not really the sort of watch I’m into, but as a little beater for golf, walking and the gym, you can’t go far wrong. Back in the 80s I did wear a couple of those little Casio digitals for about 10 years.

I think you should return it and get a GPS watch. After all you are taking up golf. :escape:
