Shout out to Piers @ Pinion Watches

Post by TigerChris »

I thought this deserved a thread just to show what a top bloke Piers is. As most on here know I have a Pinion Axis II Black. I didn’t buy it direct from Pinion, it’s from a forum member on here although purchased from him via eBay. Anyway, I put a post on here after I’d bought it showing a few buckles and a canvas strap that Piers sent me after I reached out to him for some spare buckles after I’d bought the watch. Fast forward to last week and I reached out to Piers again - I really like the original black strap for the watch but they are not for sale anymore. I asked if he had any old ones lying about, in brown, that I could buy from him (a little like the old Wera back of the sofa finds). Piers told me he had some that came off demo watches, almost new that were destined for the bin but he’d send me one FOC if I could make use of it. Fantastic, I thought! I asked again about paying and he wouldn’t have anything from me. Now, this morning I get a knock on the door from the postman with a recorded delivery package - odd, recorded delivery for a free strap? This is what was in it! So, a public thanks to Piers for such great customer service and just for being a top bloke.

Trust you, Chris

In all seriousness, I have asked Piers if he has a charity he supports and I will make a donation to them in return for the straps

Well done Piers, and you too, Chris, for offering to make a donation in lieu.

I've never been drawn to Pinion's designs, but having read your threads about the great customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Piers if a design should ever capture my attention.
