Re: What on earth could this be?
Congrats Nigel. I really like some of the Anonimo range and these are great looking watches imo.
Very Panerai-esque (stands to reason given the brands beginnings), but the 12-4-8 markers give them a distinct identifiable feature. Something a bit different from the norm.

Funnily enough I've had my eye on a Nautilo vintage but this came up in the HS Johnson sale and, this time round I was lucky enough to be in a position to buy it.
Yes, ex-employees of Panerai who then set up Anonimo.
Lovely Italian design using Swiss movements.
Overall the quality and finish is excellent.
It's very legible.
Really like the distinct, Anonimo signature, of the 12-4-8 markers.
Bezel movement is superb - clicks round nicely and no play.
The bracelet is solid stainless steel and the links are secured by a single screw in pin - very easy to remove/insert the links for sizing.
I find myself looking at it with a certain air of Explorer II about it - probably the colour combination of the steel case, steel bezel, white dial and hands colours.
Size-wise perfect for me at 42mm diameter and a L2L 50mm.
Very, very pleased with it
Re: What on earth could this be?
A good pick up Nigel. I have looked at them before and been tempted. Also a fan of the signature 4, 8, 12 indices.

Congratulations, Nigel. Enjoy and wear in good health. Do you have an interesting shirt to go with it?

Re: What on earth could this be?
Nigel, very nice looking watch indeed. I have always liked Anonimo watches and in the past I lusted after their motoring themed offerings. Another one to see in the flesh at the end of June.

Re: What on earth could this be?
Very nice! You’ve introduced me to a brand I haven’t heard of before. I thank you, my wife/bank account doesn’t.

I had heard of them, but no one seemed to know what they were called.

This shirt thread of yours could get serious. We need Ferg.
