Thank you all for your kind comments, photos don't really do the watch justice to be honest.

I think it was fate that I just happened to go into the Omega AD when I did.

Regards, Chris.

Yep. That has to be on the very short list of most fabulous Speedy's. Fate, whatever it takes.
Impossible to pass up for sure. Great acquisition.

It's a great watch. Well done. I've had mine a month short of 7 years and it still looks like new.

Still looking at the photos you posted. The construction of the strap and buckle is quite something, too. Oh well, another grail to add to the list.

Steve, the 3 o'clock subdial does indeed have 2 hands, and yes they are the chronograph hours and minutes.

Regards, Chris.
Thank you, as I thought. Quite superb.

Seems amazing that you got such a good discount on a special watch. All kudos to you.

As observed the caseback is somewhat novel and very attractive to boot.

Enjoy wearing it.

I reeaaallly like this reference. I was curious what the difference between the reference you wanted and the one you got. I’m not that familiar with omega references so I looked it up on Omega’s website.

Long story short, the 2 references are the exact same watch and strap, but the .007 has the foldover clasp and the .003 has a tang. So it looks like you pretty much got the exact one you wanted! Congrats!

My friend has just bought the 007. The clasp overlap on the Milanese bracelet is very bulky, ugly and quite uncomfortable. So much so that he’s ordered the fabric strap and a C63 Sealander Elite! £7800 and he’s never going to wear it due to comfort issues which on a Ti watch seems nuts for a guy with a standard 18.5 cm wrist.

As far as I know the only differences are...

The .003 has a ceramic buckle and pin, the .007 has the ceramic/titanium fold over clasp.

The .007 has 18k white gold applied indexes and hands, the .003 has 18k white gold hands only.

Regards, Chris.

The DSOTM doesn't have a milanese bracelet, its fabric and leather.

I think you're thinking of the Omega James Bond 007 watch, the .007 I refer to is the last 3 digits of the DSOTM reference number.

Thanks for the clarification... makes sense that there would be a difference other than the clasp. Or else why the separate reference number?
