Re: Incoming - Unusual Speedy
I've always lusted after an Italian speedy, so this is great to see pics of on the forum! It's possibly even better given the movement, sapphire case back and hesalite up front. Looking forward to lots in the NCWOTD thread going forward. Enjoy!

Well, that was worth the wait!
Good pickup indeed. Enjoy in good health.

Well I thought it was fairly obvious that yours was a modern Speedmaster Professional case and that they weren’t showing due to the angle of the pic.Soporsche wrote: ↑Sat May 15, 2021 5:11 pm Ah, you are the second person to mention that, I've just realised its the angle of my 1st. photo which was partially from the left to try and avoid reflection. Heres the 2 backs together which hopefully clarifies:

Either that or you had a unique case (the shape of the lugs being the clue that it was a standard case).

Yep Indeed, the case on mine was replaced by the sapphire sandwich in 2003/4. I actually prefer this because of the hesalite front

So much to like about this one. The Heaslite/Sapphire sandwich, the white dial, the rarity. Wear this one in good health.
