What’s better than a chronomat? A SUPER chronomat

Post by ajax87 »

Just saw this pop up on my fb feed, and honestly I’m still trying to process it. Is it the true GADA/GODO? Is it overkill? Is it really cool? Is it totally lame? I still need to check out the specs, I’m not quite sure yet.

Here it is folks, the new super chronomat from Breitling.

To be fair, they don’t all have a dual time dial in the shoulder link

You'd have to be the right sort of person to pull this one off. That wouldn't be me.
Gotta love the madness of it though, especially with the dual time dial. Overkill? Cool? Pick one per your taste.
Not for me but thumbs up to whoever said yeah let's build it.

Overkill? Definitely
GADA? Absolutely
Cool? If you're a Tom Cruise / Harrison Ford type and look good in a leather bomber jacket.
Lame? Probably, if you aren't the above (definitely lame on me).
Am I glad they made it? Yes.

There's nothing new in the Shoulder Link dual time watch (or compass or digital watch) which I believe are quite popular with the American Military and outdoor / EDC aficionados.

Hey, its only 44mm. I'll give it a go.

I hope you’re not kidding, I’d like to see some real life wrist shots! I can’t imagine dropping $10k on a whim, but I know some out there will...

I’m not we’ll versed on the shoulder dial thing. I think I’ve seen a compass there on a Swiss Army watch maybe, but the dual time is cool too. And I don’t recall seeing it from such a mainstream brand in one of their core models. Bold of Breitling.

The 4 year calendar variant is neat too. Too bad they wouldn’t look right on my 6” wrist.
