New arrival (but for mrs stefs not me!)

Post by stefs »

So after many years of listening to me talk endless boring drivel about watches the brainwashing of mrs Stefs is now complete!
We went out to pick up her new watch tonight and my word she was genuinely excited. Even more crazy it was even her own money and not mine.

She has really fancied this one for ages but being more sensible than me struggled to justify it.

Few pics of her new toy and as you can guess I am quite excited for her as well.

Hi all, Mrs S here (aka Lisa). thank you for your lovely comments. I am very excited to finally own this watch. I've spent the last fews years trying to justify this watch to myself. ..but never could. Unfortunately due to covid i lost my lovely mum at the beginning of the year ( absolutely heartbroken), i had lost my dad 16 years previous and due to this was left with a little nest egg along with my 2 sisters. I couldn’t think of a nicer way to treat myself and justify it as a gift from mum and dad that i will treasure forever....Im sure you will all agree. Before i met Mr S i was never into watches, after 26 yrs of marriage, he’s finally trained me and i am now the proud owner of 2 Rolex’s, one from hubby and one from mum & dad. X

Fabulous Mrs S... Sorry for your recent loss, I think this is a lovely gift with true sentimental value way beyond any financial cost. Wear in good health and enjoy.

Coincidentally - whilst we aren't quite at a new Datejust yet, lsst weekend presented my wife with a 1978 Rolex Oysterdate (Mrs O's birth year) to represent a new time in her life after some personal challenges. She could/would never justify such a purchase for herself.

So sorry for your loss, Lisa. It’s a wonderful way to remember loved ones. I did something similar a few years back and never regretted it.

A lovely watch to remember your mother by Lisa; of the quality to in turn become an inheritance for the next generation - although hopefully many, many years down the track.

Congratulations on the new DJ Lisa. A fitting way to remember your parents.

A lovely watch and a rather classy champagne too.
