Rze watches (formerly Reise) Endeavor

Post by ajax87 »

Rze has launched a new watch; a dive watch this time, called the Endeavor. Pre-order available for May-June delivery. Comes in 4 colors: blue, yellow, white, gray.

https://www.rzewatches.com/collections/all-products

This one ticked a lot of boxes for me. I’ve been looking for something yellow, and something titanium. This is a great size at 40.5mm, 12.5mm thick and a compact 46mm lug-to-lug.

The spec sheet is great for the price too; titanium case and bracelet with their proprietary Ultrahex hardened coating which they claim to be 8x harder than 316l steel, sapphire crystal, 200m WR, two tone lume, and a Seiko NH38a movement. Pre-ordering came with a free rubber tropic strap in addition to the titanium bracelet. All for $399! Although it looks like the pre-order special has ended and it’s now $419. Still a good price.

Of course I had to give it a try. Will update with my pics once received. Here are pics pulled from their site in the yellow that I ordered:

I'm sure it will be lovely - I would say that as I have the resolute :D

passed on the endeavour though - the bezel a little too busy for me.

Yea that’s personal preference I guess. The bezel is very similar to the C65 Dartmouth and C65 chrono, both of which I personally like a lot. I almost went for the resolute myself, but the teal was no longer available and the grey sold out. Didn’t care much for the other colors.

BTW, does yours have that hardened coating? How does it hold up, have you noticed any scratches?

I think these are very good - the navy version also. I pre-ordered the yellow version on 9th Feb. It's such a long wait!

Ha - I also find the C65 Dartmouth and Chrono busy, so definitely personal preference. Love the Teal colour of my resolute :D

yes the resolute also has the hardened coating and no scratches noted so far - though I've only been wearing it on and off since christmas day.

Well, I tend to put my watches through the ringer so to speak, so I’ll be able to give a good indication of how the coating holds up!

That yellow! (And the titanium and the spec and the narrow bezel and the size and the sun(/fun) factor).....
I love it. :D
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

I came sooooooo close to ordering during the pre-sale but held off. I'll be looking forward to your thoughts after you receive it.

I’ve never done a Kickstarter or pre order or anything like this. It IS a long wait and I’m a little nervous about dropping the funds up front. But what the heck, you only YOLO once.

First time for me as well and I feel exactly the same! :D

But I thought it well worth the risk and their track record is good.

They just added a “date” version of this watch for pre-order, for anyone who held off because of no date!

I like the colour coded date wheel, I don't like what looks like a black eye that surrounds it!

^^^ Yea, a white border would have made a whole lot more sense and would look better IMO.

However, I just plain like to have a date on my watches so I had them switch my order to the date version. Maybe it’ll look better in person!
