Added a gold chapter ring, steel crown (such a big improvement), tinted red/gold see-through case back and a gold roter:

I may change the ceramic bezel back to a stealth black alu so it looks less fussy.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Great thread, it's inspired me to get a Vostok 090 from Meranom. I've also ordered a bezel from zavar011 on Ebay and a mesh strap to put it on. I'll hopefully post pictures when I've done it. I'm hoping to locate an orange seconds hand to go on this to match the orange bezel, does anyone know where I can source one that would fit? Apologies if I've missed this info in this thread. I've asked the Ebay sellers who sell Vostok hands with no success. Thanks, Jon.

Thanks Comrade. :D Much appreciated.

is this one https://meranom.com/en/amphibian-classi ... 00510.html?

Is it from my eyes, or the dial from the link, looks blue(ish) to me? is it the same watch?

I just bought a komandirskie from the bay a couple minuts ago... but this amphibia even looks good "as is".

This model in particular and the 3415 is a reliable movement ?

I may have to pull the trigger on this one too. I don't really like watches with date, specially, if the movements do not have date quickset, which seems to be the case in most amphibias.

I have one with this dial - the lighter parts are grey, but can look blue in some lights or photos. I have had no reliability issues with any of my Vostoks, apart from one which was dead on arrival.

Vostocks have the old-fashioned date quickset where you wind back and forward through midnight to change the date.

With my white C60 quartz currently on long-term loan with my bro, I have a white dial black bezel itch to scratch.
Don't want to spend alot, so I'm thinking of jumping on the Vostok train.

I've mocked up 2 modded options with the Amphibian 120. I'm on the fence, so what do you forumites think?

Option 1

Option 2

^ The completely different fonts on both dials compared to the bezel would bother me, l really like the matching blue logo on the first option though so between the two probably that one.

^^^ Good point, but I think I can live with that.

Having tried on the Oris 65, I wasn't concerned by the fonts ... and the Oris is a definite offender when it comes to mismatched fonts.

I'm with you though, leaning towards option 1 as the extra blue on the dial pulls it together a bit better me thinks

I prefer this one, straight up with no modding, from Meranom, which has the additional feature of a full lume (green) dial.
