*sigh*

love the scuba dude!

My wife is Russian, she mocks me relentlessly any time I hint at buying old Soviet watches.

I did sneak one (as well as aa pretty cool Zorky camera) past her defences however.

Life under the KGB!

Hi

Nice mod. Where'd you get the ceramic insert? Looks good on that strap too.

Here's mine:

Very nice!

I got the insert on eBay, however they run a hair small, so I had to take a bit (.2mm) off the outside of the crystal to get it to fit. At least on this watch I did. I have another 420 and for whatever reason the crystal sits about 1mm lower in the case so I don't have the clearance issues that I did with this one and the 710 Ministry that I also have.

I love Vostok's for some reason, they are fun to mod. --Mark

Love that 420 se.

Is that green bezel insert a mod, or have I just never seen that color?

The green bezel was available from Meranom as a spare part (but currently out of stock.)

Everything I want is out of stock at Meranom. Certain models are due in February and some he says will be available "soon".

It's always like that, he does them in very small runs. Your best bet is to find the watch you want then use the email alert when then are back in stock.

He just posted a new 420 today, this one looks like it has a solid, signed crown!
