I had an email from Invicta this morning to inform me that they are getting supplies of the 1953 in shortly, in various colours. I know there is not a lot of love for Invicta, but the 1953 has been well reviewed. If the price is no more than £100 or so, they are very good value.

1953 is based on the original rolex sub from 1953.

The base model (SS with black bezel) is reference 31290, and other colours have different numbers, although searching is not yet finding any results.

These are now in. 145 euros. I think there is a 10% off for new accounts. Should be subject to VAT in the UK though, which is actually a bit naughty by Invicta, as they ought to remove the Dutch VAT for UK buyers.

Fraser Hart have the rather lovely new Glamour DD at 27% off. Key elements:

COST £1940 and 0%finance and the £239 Wolf winder. Online only. Rather a good deal for the in-house movement I thought.

I love the look of them but wonder how the 42mm would fare.

Picked one up for £1792 with 0% finance in Beaverbrooks sale last week. Here's how it wears on my 19 cm wrist.

Louis Erard Heritage sport £630 at Jura. Fine looking steel watch but 50m WR doesn't justify the Sport bit to me.
