FLE#7 Elimination Poll

Post by Kip »

We have 39 designs based on 11 models. The time has come to determine which of these will go forward as potentials for the FLE #7.

Please vote for up to 5 models that you would buy.

You may change your vote(s) at any time until the poll closes. The poll will run through April 2, 2017

Refer to the Design Submissions for FLE #7 here to view model descriptions and estimated pricing.

Remember that these are first generation mock ups and the top 3 finalists, (and ties) will be submitted to CW for review, tweaking and pricing.
Only the current CW logo (V3) will be used regardless of what version might be shown in these mock ups.

Voting is not a commitment to buy at this time, but please do not vote if you do not intend to buy a model that you vote for. This is simply the next phase as we move forward to determine if this FLE will be viable. For further information see here.

Great work by the PS boys and Kip for getting all this out there. It's going to be fascinating. :D

Just to clarify, the C65 V3 and V5 models as drawn appear to be based on the graphical template of the 43mm C65 based on the placement of the date window.

They are meant to be 38mm models, right? The proposers of the designs know this, yes?

Great job everyone! This is going to be very interesting.

I am confused however by the C60 Trident Titanium Pro V1.

Two watches are shown, one with second marks on the bezel, the other without. I would vote for one but not the other. Would that be sorted out in the second round?

It should also be made clear that the C60 v3 rendering has the old logo but the watch if chosen will have the new logo.

Just in case there are people voting who didn't read the initial rules that Kip set for the designs and didn't plough through the whole long Discussion thead (I recall there was one person in the Discussion thread who did think the old logo would be applied on that design).

I understood that the C65 V3 and V5 models were meant to be based on the 43mm case, not the 38mm case. This is not just because of the different date placement, but they have also used the 43mm case as a template - you can tell this by the different reflections on the bezel, as the 43mm version has a polished bezel and the 38mm version has brushed bezel.

So we should really make it clear that V3 and V5 are 43mm C65 Classics, not 38mm C65 Vintages. There is a slightly different price implication too, as a result.

Yes, this needs to be clarified ASAP so the voters are clear exactly what they are voting for and how much their choices will cost.

I have relabeled The C65 V3 and V5 in the poll listing to state that they are the C65 Trident Classic MKII. Unfortunately I cannot change the order of the poll without losing the entire poll .

I have also relabeled and added the correct pricing to the the C65 V3 and V5 on the Design Submissions page.

Thanks for pointing out the errors.

Please note that if you have already voted for the C65 Trident Vintage (38mm) V3 and/or V5 that these are really the The C65 Trident Classic MKII (43mm).

You can change your vote(s) if necessary.

Not a criticism but the c1000 Typhoon photoshop is only partially done and in its current incarnation I am not even sure it's mother would love it.

The hour markers are meant to be grey and applied. The yellow text and markings should be grey as should the hands. The logo should be grey too.

Its up to Kip if he wants to keep it in there in its current form.

Let's try this again since the issue still exists:-

If it is close enough for you to purchase with a few small tweaks, then vote for it and sort out those minor tweaks after. None of these are final versions, but if it's close enough that you'd like to see a final version then

It seems that a bit of vote shifting might be happening.

I've not voted yet as, with the current state of my collection, I'm not sure where a #7 FLE will fit in.

Must have a concerted thought today.
