I don’t think it’s dead to CWL but without doubt the relationship has changed. I’ve been away from the forum for several years and on my return found it very different, that’s not a criticism.Tyke wrote:Next FLE will be a Facebook Limited Edition, the forum is dead to CWL

If the forum is dead, why did CW invest in it and why do they continue to support it?
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, but what you suppose it far from reality.

Nice reference to the forum is still made at the end of the official watches' user manuals you get with your brand new CW. I do not know any other brand (watches or else) recommending to visit an independant forum...Tyke wrote:Next FLE will be a Facebook Limited Edition, the forum is dead to CWL

That's a bit of a doomsday scenario there, I don't see it that way.Tyke wrote:Next FLE will be a Facebook Limited Edition, the forum is dead to CWL

The forum is an old fashioned antiquated way of spreading the gospel of their business, Facebook or similar is the way forward. The reference in the handbook is there probably because they've forgotten to remove it, let's face it they're not the greatest with paper documents.
You only have to see the business move by CW towards more modern online platforms to realise the forum is now irrelevant to their business. Yes they own it, but frankly who else would seriously have an interest in buying it?
This isn't a criticism of CW, far from it, they have seen the light and are better targeting their resources to maximise exposure. This is good to see they have matured and become much more media savvy than was evident during the botched rebrand launch.
Their world is moving in one direction, and it's going further away from the forum which might be sad but isn't surprising and in reality is probably necessary for them to do that, this environment doesn't generate the sales or exposure they are going to need in the future.
Sorry if it sounds bleak, but wake up and smell the coffee.

Re: FLE #7 Discussion Area
I think we should start discussing the 2019 FLE.
If Kip doesn't want to manage it, some other volunteers can step in.

Reckon 2022 would be a more likely bet. The 2017 FLE might have finished selling by then.
