Wasn't sure if it was a troll post, but thought there was no harm reminding members, esp newer ones, that this isn't the first FLE where the watch produced had some changes from the design that the forum chose. Sometimes production issues rear their heads. Changes are made, and these cause some members to drop their order, and maybe others then decide they like the tweaked design.

We all have different tastes and priorities. That's why despite the fact that the forum's total number of members has grown with every year, the take up for FLE watches seems to remain consistent at around 75-100.
Never sure exactly what a troll post is. Maybe, discerning, wise, succint, tothe point, original, controversial, thought provoking, discomforting, against the grain, unpopular, skittish, juvenile or maybe just someone trip trapping over my bridge?

I do find that people misunderstand the meaning of what a troll is. I've been accused of being one simply for having an opinion that just happened to be in the minority (and ironically was then genuinely trolled/bullied for daring to be different) ..folk are very quick to outcast people with an alternative viewpoint and automatically assume being different can mean they are dangerous, antagonistic, awkward, unnecessarily controversial and/or of troll-like worthiness. In fact I'd say it's those who dare to be boring and stick with the comfortable status quo who are more likely to be the trolls/bullies .. bullies stick together in groups, yet those in a minority get shouted down. Human race is a weird thing, especially when the alpha males come out to play.

Anyway, back under the bridge then..

Always thought 'troll' posting implied menace, threat or abuse; none of which I have ever seen on this forum. Thankfully.

Nice to have a bit of banter from time to time though.

Interesting comments, in recent posts, on the design ethos of the FLE over the years. Some points of which I'd not really considered before. I do though feel the voting process for this year's MMXV was an enjoyable and fair/democratic process.
Continuing to enjoy mine, trying it out on a green Perlon yesterday

I'm shocked by how much I like that combo. I would never think green could work but...it does.

Thanks Joseph.

I only bought it as Green is our predominant brand colour at work; but I feel the green / rose gold works particularly well.

Sigh. Postman came while I was out.

Now I'll have to go down to the post office to collect it when I'm free.

You've obviously been following events closely :problem:

Everyone else got an email asking them to confirm their order, widely reported on here.

Perhaps contacting CWL will result in #52 still being available for you.

Well now, apparently I did not or it would have shown up in my in-box with the rest of the mail. Even though I have a life, a business and a forum I do not miss mail if sent to me. I follow events closely enough to have interviewed the owner of this forum and other watch makers despite the fact that I am still recovering from injuries from an accident which destroyed a range rover and put me into a coma. But thanks.
