Feeling much the same way! Surely to goodness if you publish the date and you are going to fail to make it, you inform people instead of them finding out by some chance email. Poor form.

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
To be honest, when a standard Slimline came up for £199 in the recent sale I cancelled my FLE order ... lovely that the FLE appears to look I'd personally rather save the extra £350 towards another watch (or pay off my utilities bills, or something ... hmm, how boring though).Aesculapius wrote:But at least it *will* arrive in 2015...!
To be honest, for me, if I decide to go ahead and get this it will be because I like the design and think it's a watch I will definitely wear. It's the watch we designed *for* 2015 but if I get one then I'll be wearing it long after this year (or even this decade) has been and gone as I only buy watches i genuinely like and intend to keep.
The question for me now is, while I know I like it, do I £500+ like it?
A week or so to decide or another serial number goes up for grabs...

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
As you now know the FLE is in transit. I only found out myself a while ago, but Guy has let you know. Thanks.
As a result of the delays and the recent sales, a few pieces are now available due to cancellations. I do not what serial numbers they might be, but will post as soon as I get the info.

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
Oh, very nice, it should arrive in time for Christmas. Maybe I can pass it off to my wife as her present to me. She does like an easy time of picking something out.
The anticipation is great on this one.

I couldn't agree more. I was told they were arriving on November 7.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:Feeling much the same way! Surely to goodness if you publish the date and you are going to fail to make it, you inform people instead of them finding out by some chance email. Poor form.

Kip,
Surprised that there are 9 available - didn't think so many people would change their minds.

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
Unfortunately the length of the delay has meant there have been lots of sales in the meantime to tempt people away onto other purchases, particularly the standard slimline which is cracking value in the sale. I am sure that they will sell though.PaulWB wrote:Kip,

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
9 out of 75 is only a 12% fall out. Pretty respectable all around IMHO.
I'm sure, as smegwina suggests that the remaining ones will get sold, particularly once the main batch get out in the wild with a few more photos like this one (of the prototype taken at SalonQP)

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
I have to say I wasn't a fan of the 2015 FLE when it was agreed on but of late, I am definitely coming round to it.
Guy's photos in particular really get the juices flowing for it.
If I had the available funds I would have jumped at the recent availability.

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
Oh, I definitely like it — and my reservations have nothing to do with any delays to production and delivery. As far as I'm concerned, I'm really not that bothered about when it arrives because, if I get it, it'll be a watch I wear long into the future.
I'm more thinking in terms of, yes, it's nice but would I like it and wear it enough to justify throwing over 500 notes at it right now, and I'm still not 100% convinced. I have no fear that any of the 75 made available will be snapped up pretty quickly. There's enough interest that, somehow, I doubt there will be any leftover stock of *this* FLE hanging around for sales and nearly new.

Re: 2015 FLE prototype arrival
Happy to inform you guys that #28 is available to purchase. I think it's a lovely watch and the photos surely don't do it justice. I had to watch the video of Chris checking the prototype plenty of times to make 100% sure of my decision since it is the best source available. In the end, I somewhat prefer the C65 rosegold as even though it's humongous, I think it'd get more attention. Also, I have my eyes on a C9 Small Seconds or Moonphase and think I would be happier with the customized movement. Right now I have my C5 Charcoal on alligator to work with dressing up. Was a very hard decision which is why it took so long. The nature of the game.

They were all pre-ordered with a waiting list but some people dropped out.gatehealing wrote:Were these sold out at one point?
