Nice one Magnus. Rise above the squabbling and silly accusations.
Your design is an integral part of the process. Hats off to you for the time and effort you have contributed to this process.

Thanks Kip for your most considered response, and diligence over Thanksgiving.
As previously stated, the apples appear to be back in the cart. Let's all have a good weekend and run in to the voting deadline.

Re: C5 Slimline Semi Final discussion area
I feel like the C5 is attracting the most attention and all comments all add to the intriguing nature of this process.
I voted for the green dail as I have only one CW and it's a white face C9.
Best of luck to all entries, especially my choice...
Regards Steve

I really hope C5SLM-20 wins. It looks just like the rose-gold C9 Harrison Automatic that came out two years ago, but that was huge for a dress watch. I'd like to be able to wear something like that with a suit.

Re: C5 Slimline Semi Final discussion area
I just read through the various voting posts regarding model #20 after a long weekend traveling. As a forum member of just over a year, my first posts are in this and the C65 FLE thread. I shouldn't be surprised at the accusations tossed around, but I am. The passion exhibited over the FLE vote illustrates how seriously all parties take this decision and underscores the value of robust debate. This passion is why a forum exists. Good luck to all. Hopefully, #20 wins. It would be my fourth CW watch and fill a gold accented dress watch "need".

Same here. I was away for 3 days, and ... whoa.Aesculapius wrote:Blimey -- I have a couple of long days at work and don't keep up with checking the forum...
But the storm seems to have blown over and calmer heads have prevailed -- well done, chaps.
For what it's worth, the Red XII Marine is the only one of the semi finalists that really interests me and I think I made that pretty plain in an earlier thread so there's nothing new in that. To be honest, it's probably the only one I would even contemplate buying. Not sue how it would fare against a C65 model but I'm hoping.
Anyway, I'm glad we're back on track now.
I didn't know about the new registrations, but I wasn't surprised that #20 had a late surge. If I recall correctly, during the 1st round of elimination the Marine also took an early lead only to be overtaken by the 2 mini-C9s. Could be that the people voting for the latter 2 usually access the forum a little later than voters for the Marine.
I have nothing against newcomers or new members voting; I take it as good luck for them that they found this forum at the right time. There are also many members who don't post, but for all you know, they might be quietly collecting a bunch of the FLEs!

Looks like it will be the #20 to go through to the final round unless we can get a swing of 10 votes for the #8 Marine.
Will there be some last minute vote changing?

My first choice (green) is def losing the race now. But my second choice is doing well

Can't see the Marine gaining another 20 votes in 15 minutes. Oh well...
