Would have gone for 27 had it been the green or red version, yellow best of what's left but would've preferred it with different hands so rooting for the other style now.

Have a yellow Mako too, so also a concern with me, will see as it progresses how it turns out. The mako also wears smaller than the C65 will, but the C65 is definitely better ;) I do not like the 27A design as much, and still think out of these three, the yellow C65 is best suited to a FLE. If it comes with blue lume, I will like it much more. Though I have nothing against the blue-02, I feel CWL will come out with a blue C65 on their own pretty soon. The pricing may also be a factor since this is a FLE, it will be priced higher than RRP while for regular issue CW watches, a 15% discount or coupon is available almost all the time.

Looks like the yellow c65 will get that win. . . so I hope the Slimline wins overall. If not, I'll be saving a chunk of money! Just cannot see wearing a yellow watch just yet.

Now if we put a smiley face on it, it may be a different story! :D

C65 Trident Classic Semi Final discussion area

Yeah looks like a winner the yellow. Quite gutted as I think 27a is a lovely watch.

Can we get confirmation if the yellow is same as the c600? Just wondering to anticipate how yellow it is...

I'm also interested in knowing this. I have not been on the forum long enough to see real life pictures of the yellow C600. I can only compare it against my yellow Mako. From what I can tell, the yellow Mako is NOT a sunburst dial. Welshlad states his as a 'cheery sunburst yellow' which sounds great. I hope its a deep yellow. Whatever color it is, it looks great in the pic  Maybe I and gwells can start a 'yellow-dial-limited-edition-only' collection, not too many watches qualifying there.

The C60 and C600 yellows.

The C600 is slightly darker.

The yellow could look different when actually done on the dial rather than from the picture.

thank you ianblyth. Copying the C65-15 yellow underneath for direct comparison, they look different.

Well, the C65 won't have a sunburst dial if you keep the waves.

Very tricky choice. I eventually went for the yellow simply because it looks more limited edition than the blue variants

Come on 27A !!

I think its a losing vote, but who knows :D

I think I'm in the minority when I say I'm not keen on the yellow face :silent: it's going to be very dependent on the shade of yellow used, sunburst like the C600 could be good, but with the wave effect its going to be a very difficult one to get right.

To answer the questions re the shade/tone of yellow (thanks to Ian and Blowfish for posting the comparison shots)...

I wasn't aiming for exactly the same as the C600/60 because they have a smooth metallic/galvanic dial, whereas the yellow C65 retains the wavy dial. It's very hard to describe colours, but the best I can say is that it is not quite as saturated or shiny as the C600/60, but is a cleaner, brighter, satin-finish yellow. Not washed out, but not over-saturated either. Not glossy, but not completely matt either, i.e. a "satin" finish. A cheery, but classy, hue!

I hope that helps. :)

I voted for 27a. It's the only watch of the three I would purchase or wear. I rally like the hands on this one. Yellow is just too bold for my tastes.
