Here's hoping #3 catches up. Distinctly different and little resemblance to previous FLEs

This is an awesome process. Been after a c3 for a while but if the slimline wins I'll definately be getting that instead!

It could be interesting if people make late changes away from those with few votes and onto potential winners.

Glad #3 has caught up.
Green would make an awesome FLE.
Shame the green C65s aren't going to make it.

Just used my last two votes, and put them on 3 & 8. Good luck people.

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
I hope these do well, their two immediate competitors whilst nice (but similar) designs are both watches that are likely to be produced by CWL as mainstream models, so this would detract from the special nature of an FLE. To that point, if CWL already had these designs in the pipeline would they object to producing them as an FLE?welshlad wrote:Thanks!albionprs wrote:Just used my last two votes, and put them on 3 & 8. Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
On the contrary. #3 is "just" a green C5S. #20 is a hand-wound slim 40mm dress watch with minute markers. It takes the best of the C5S and the best of the new C9's, and merges them together in a more affordable package. Remember that the 40mm Harrison with SH21 movement will probably cost north of £1k.

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
I wondered that myself as the 40mm 5 Day version will be out in spring but obviously cost more as it will have the SH21 movement. The version with the rose gold markers is a bit different but CWL have put gold markers on some of their dress watches in the past. But they did allow the blue C60 to go ahead and created their own with a different shade of blue.Tyke wrote: if CWL already had these designs in the pipeline would they object to producing them as an FLE?
As for the marine watch it is not my style and I would not buy it, even as an FLE, but I thought that it would do better given the amount of comments about a CWL marine watch on the forum. Just goes to show that just because a number of people talk about it does not mean that everyone backs it up. Or maybe they want a traditional marine watch with small seconds and that was a compromise too far.

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
Just shuffled two of my votes but would really like one or more of the WW1 Vintage C5-01, Marine C5-08 and Polerouter C5-17 to be doing a touch better.
