General Discussion - 2015 FLE

Post by Kip »

This area will be used for a general discussion of the poll running here. Also for any other ideas or options you may have concerning a 2015 FLE.

Then I will restate my thoughts - take a C5 slim, make minimal changes to the dial to indicate its FLE status (perhaps Limited Edition in place of Slimline) and put a higher grade movement in it - gold or rhodium or something - to make it pretty ;)

Although I am not certain, a prettier movement probably could be sourced, at a cost. The other problem is a 12-18 month lead time for movements.

How about a super crazy idea for the 2015 FLE, which is also the 10 yr anniversary-ish FLE (2014 would be, but what the heck).

How about a Thomas Russel style pocket watch? Total shot in the dark, but would be a sure collector's item! Maybe put Chris' signature on the back. Maybe even have Thomas Russel's image printed on inside of sapphire caseback (like my Ball Trainmaster Fahrenheit has G. Farenheit's image on the inside of caseback so it doesn't wear off).

Yes, I would buy a C65 with a dark green dial - the original BRG used in the C7 Mk 1 LE would be brilliant and really suit the character of the watch... Maybe not a wave dial - I think a radiant/sunburst dial would look spectacular...

Love green dials!

Slimline or C3. All else is madness.
