Re: C11 Altus
I'm seem to be amongst the few who thinks both models are quite appealing.
I don't think the auto is less functional without minute markers. After seeing the design without minute markers, I would say that the dial would look a bit messed if they were added.
I love the design of the case (including the screws)!
When it comes to the chrono - I personally like when a design makes use of the capability of the human mind to fill in missing parts of a known pattern (referring to the cropped numbers).
I'm sure the chrono is going to be the smartest looking quartz chrono in the CWL collection!
But what about the sub-dials setup? is it running seconds to the right, minute counter to the left and hour counter at the bottom?
The auto version will find itself sitting around my wrist sometime in the future.

Re: C11 Altus
I really like the font, the case shape, and the crown of the Automatic. No minute markers required, thank you, as they'd clutter the face. I think the hands could stand to be a bit narrower- - they seem too abrupt in their narrowing to a point, but its not a deal-breaker. Nor is it a deal-breaker that it is roughly shaped like a B&R. Why should B&R get to make all the square watches? It is, sadly, too large a watch for me. But I like it very much.
The Chrono is not my thing- looks busy with those large hands against the three different subdials and the cut off letters.

No. I actually like it and think the subdials are quite different and original.Clach77 wrote:Am I the only person that likes the chrono? ...[snip]
The auto is nice as well, with its clean and clear design.
Of course, they're both too big for me.

I keep coming back and looking at the auto. I really like it with the brown strap. What's the lume going to be like?
Re: C11 Altus
my view point is clean lines.
the first two plain simple watches look the best.
The other two just look too busy it's almost like they are just trying to cram in too much..
Plain and simple may be a date and a day if you where looking for some thing different..

Re: C11 Altus
as it stands, having seen the proposed new models, it is only the Auto C11 which remains on my 'will be buying' list for CWL's...

Man with one watch, always know time. Man with many watches, never sure.

Indeed. If it is as I suspect (and has been semi-confirmed by Kip) and this is the most reasonably priced of the new offerings, it will go on the listhighway62 wrote:as it stands, having seen the proposed new models, it is only the Auto C11 which remains on my 'will be buying' list for CWL's...

Re: C11 Altus
Amazing!
Love the styling, and it's really trying to break new boundaries. To me this watch has the best of two worlds, the classical styling of a typical Christopher Ward mixed with the Bell & Ross style fashion watches.
Definately on the wish list.............does anybody know when it is being released and for how much?

Hi Kip, thanks for all of the info so far
Do you think they will produce this with the PVD finish???
If you can tell me which kidney or lung I can give and when, i'd love the auto in PVD with a brown croc strap please.
