C700 preview

Post by Kip »

Here are some photos of the much anticipated C700...

Based on the popular C7 case it features a carbon fibre dial and a Valjoux 7750 movement......

Damn you, Christopher Ward. Why must you continue making watches that are so tempting? I really like this. I suppose the carbon fibre dial will be the determining factor. Will it add to the depth of the watch without sacrificing clarity? If it does, then it will be hard for me to resist this one.

It's nice, but without the tachymeter bezel and curved springbars it just doesn't seem to fit with the C7 family to me.

Oh my! I really like the look of that, just my style of 'sports' watch. Reminds me slightly of the Oris TT3 series and I was looking seriously at one of those a couple of years back. What is the anticipated price? Very nice indeed, and automatic to boot! Nice one CW :)

Very nice. Any more details (e.g. grade of movement, lug size, etc.)?

I agree that this one has a bit of an Oris look to it. Enough of one that unless Oris comes out with something absolutely breath taking or the C700 breaks the $1,000 barrier, I probably won't be looking at Oris very much for a while.

Wow. I'm not normally attracted to this type of watch, but it is clear that this one is a clear step up in design complexity for CWL. The dial looks very sharp and high quality.

Like others, I'd love to know the price...

I am not normally keen on chrono watches as the complication gets little use (for me) and the dials, by necessity, can come across as cluttered.

However, that caveat stated I do like the look of that. Part of me also wants a 7750 in the collection (is that just for the sake of it I wonder? :?). So will add to the wish list but it will be lower in priority than something like the C9.

Very nice though, should sell shed loads

Hi Everyone, :D

I just can not wait to see the other models as well!!! :D

I think that the watch strap has something of the Tropic strap look about it!

I like that!

Till next time...

Good first look. I Have Tissot quartz chronos with that type of look. I think it could do with either a bit more white or some colour (red would be good) or just black. Not sure. .
With Tissot motogp dials there is a really odd (in a good way) sense of depth hope it will be like that.

I expect price would be more than the C40.

Would I buy one? maybe, but as with st-rider if i get a another auto chrono think it would be the C9 and don't think there would be too much difference in price to alter that view.

So having said that I will pobably get one

WOW! Interested in this unless it is out of my price range. Great detailing & proper carbon fibre unlike the C70MC which would really benefit from carbon instead of its textured diamond dial.

I really like this. If the other additions to stable are as tempting I will have to re-think the 2012 FLE and save my pennies for the new goodies. Bad timing CWL. :(

Exactly my thoughts on second look, a spot of red would do nicely.
