Looks like the exclusivity of the scooter blue has just gone out the window. :(

Unless the website photos are up to their usual standard that blue looks the same.

Sorry but a little miffed.

I think the hue of the blue is slightly different to the scooter blue, but it is definitely in the same territory. Why couldn't they do something completely different, eg orange dial, yellow dial, etc?

Not sure about that orange leather strap either, but will wait until I see a real world picture of it.

Overall, a little underwhelmed. :(

It does look very close scooter. Feel for you there as the scooter FLE is no longer overly LE.

The blue looks very very FLE like, could just be my ipad. Orange - wow.

Doesn't matter what colour they are - until they fix the date window I cant buy one ;(

BTW, what is going on with this Trident back?

Is the 1853 its serial number or is Chris going to be getting letters from Tissot?

I'm miffed for you as well.

:(

I think the colours are too close, and I don't think it's fair to the blue FLE holders.

If CW wanted a blue bezel Trident, they should have kept the dial black.

I do NOT like the orange.

Of all the colour combinations they could have gone for to brighten up the monochromatic C60 range they choose the scooter blue, I know the FLE has the old logo but that's not very impressive.

If CW are releasing FLEs as standard models now I vote for a C2 FLE please!

I definitely see where you are coming from. Myself, I was saddened a little when I realized I missed out on the C60 blue...I didn't even know CWL existed when they were reserving it! I am sure I am not the only one. I completely see what you and the others are saying...you did a damn good job with that watch!

Blue, if it's the proper shade, is always a big seller for dive watches, so I suspect money is the reason. Slightly changing the shade is justification enough for selling a watch that looks very much like a highly sought for 50-piece limited edition, in their eyes.

I looked at my blue C9 Auto next to the FLE and they were definitely completely difference shades of blue. But even still I do think it devalues the FLE as for most people blue is blue.

I must agree with you scooter even though I would like to see a side by side comparison. As Ian says, blue is blue.

The blue in the email does look lighter. Still a bit too close for comfort?

Oh look copies of the Omega planet ocean and a scooter blue copy!

Wow, Mr CW way to go on the originality front!

Totally devalues the exclusivity of the FLE2012 and i wonder how the new price will affect secondhand prices!!!

Please note the above comments are coloured by my dislike of the mongrel trident and its wonky date window!
