I've just had a quick look and some of the topics are quite funny if you say them as Frankie Howerd.

"Taking apart transmission, my push behind"

"Allis Chalmers - Any good?"

"Lawn Boy dura force surge"

"Thanks for T-Man"

Oooh! No missus! Titter ye not!

I suppose I shouldn't be at all surprised....but I had to have a look.... and when I did I burst out laughing.

Thanks for that....it was better than the joke of the day.

Well - I'm (sort of) glad I don't like the GMT as produced as much as the early mock ups. Having voted for the GMT as a forum special as well there was a danger that I would have to buy two GMTs this year

Well I do, I have no use for a diver really other than for robustness but with GMT the extra dial becomes useful and with 2 time zones great. When I'm travelling I like to have one for where I've been one for where I'm going and one for where I am during a layover.

I like how the 15 minute part of the bezel is gone but the non numbers need a dot or something for me.

Well, I want to like the GMT. Putting that into context I never wanted one because I couldn't see "the need"** because I can cope with holding two time zones in my head on those occasions that I need to do so. Now that I have family in America I know that they re nine hours behind but I don't need that on my wrist all the time, right?

** "the need": whenever did need rather than desire/lust drive our watch buying habits?

So I tried a Steiny GMT and it was a fine watch but I flipped it and my rationalisation was that I didn't bond with the overall style of the watch and it was similar in some respects to the C65. Pepsi bezels leave me cold.

I know where I stand with the C60 line so maybe dropping a GMT complication into a watch I know that I like sounds like it has a greater chance of success. Wait a minute, that's pushing me back towards the pre-Mk3 (Mk3 or MkIII?) models: oh heck!

LOL. This thread was nearly 10 years old and referring to the FIRST GMT.
