Re: C9 Zagato
I quite like it. Not at that price though, not even close. Pity it's not the 40mm case.

Holy S*** Bags! £4K! And it doesn't even have an in house movement! I wonder if chris pulled his infamous 'head down against the wall' pose when this one got discussed.

Ug. It's mildly interesting, but not £4000 interesting. . . Even if only 19 are made. Maybe £650 interesting.

The latest edition of the magazine. Oh dear. Mike France again (he shouldn't be allowed to speak to be honest) trying to justify the rebrand. They even have a hipster beard article. Meh. Best thing about this issue was that well placed Chopard. I can't see myself ever buying another CW.

Re: C9 Zagato
I want to like it but alas, it is not something I would purchase at £400, let alone the thick end of £4000. I simply don't get this whole approach of sticking a bit of knackered old vehicle into a watch and labelling it as a collector item. I didn't get it when I saw the similarly naff items in the Sunday supplements and I don't get it now.

why is the new magazine not available to read on the website yet ?Hicksmat wrote:The latest edition of the magazine. Oh dear. Did you miss the link on the first post? I thought this was issue 2? Maybe or maybe not. I've not had a postal copy in either case.
Edit: it was issue 1. I didn't get that in the post either tbh.

Re: C9 Zagato
Issue 1 got torn to shreds on here a couple of months ago, some of it got fixed, other bits didn't so feel free to have another go while we wait for the next set of male grooming tips in issue 2

Re: C9 Zagato
I wonder how thick the watch is after modification (is it a modified movement?)

Re: C9 Zagato
That first photo is gorgeous, good job on the photographer. This is my second feedback post on the watch with my first being that, as everyone I'm sure has mentioned, the new logo is being used.
However after re-looking at this, I think on this one particular model this new logo is suitable. I can't picture "Chr.Ward" looking very nice on it. But that only goes for this model and style. I still think the new logo should be scrapped. But the font matches the numbers and dial style here.
Ignoring that only 19 were made with some scrap metal, I think this design is a success and is very attractive. At a (far) lower pricepoint, I can see people being happy with it. But I can't imagine who would buy it for the sale price it is now.
