I'm seeing turbine blades.

Nice looking watch.

My Private Eye arrived this morning. Back cover advert for the UTC:
44mm £899 (!) That's £100 more than a Trident GMT.

Well it has to be said, that's an excellent price for a watch of this type.

That's... A lot better pricing than the Zagato. Lol.

That pricing makes it very approachable. It's cheaper than many of CWL's dress watch offerings, and it's a good-looking timepiece.

I did really like this when I checked out the prototype in February. I do want a GMT in my collection and this is a possibility at some stage I'd say.

I should hope so. Aside from the fact that it is a different and less expensive movement, no rare metal parts that have been custom designed and not a limited edition, they are exactly the same.

Great looking watch and excellent CW value. Makes me want one like it, just have to find an alternative.

It's now up on the CW website.

The black model is £950.

44mm! That kills it for me right there. And no stainless bracelets offered.

I must say though, I do like the machining on this watch. Very nicely done detailing.

I like this a lot, but I do have one big complaint. I hate it when you have no idea of the size of the watch. My 44mm Hamilton Pan Europ sits perfectly on my wrist. I've sold my 44mm Steinhart Racetimer because it is waaaaay too big. Will this 44mm work for me? I'm talking about the lug-to-lug-length. Why is it so hard to write that number? I'm not buying anything until I know that simple measurement. I do not like smartwatches and I'll probably never buy an Apple watch, but I do know exactly how it will sit on my wrist, because they measure lug-to-lug (42 or 38).

Main hands a bit weird
GMT hand way too big & dominating
Crowns comedy oversized
Does nowt for me.

Quite. I thought we had got over all that. No...looks like we are heading back to the cloud forests of Rwanda again. :(

I liked it when we saw the teaser shots. I love the steel version and even quite like the condom hands. I felt "the urge" just now to click the pre-order button, but I'm still not sold on the logo. I will probably order one when the next discount code comes around. I can't keep moaning about the logo without handling one!

The lug to lug measurement is listed in the specs on the website. It is stated as 53.2mm.
