Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
Sadly 44m and what looks like two whacking great big capstans sticking out the side means my initial enthusiasm has somewhat evaporated.

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
44mm is fine in my books.
Very much like it; especially the 'oversized' crowns - adjustable when wearing one's flying gloves.
The Vintage black is nice but I'm preferring the Steel finish case, particularly on the Tan strap;-
Interesting to see that the steel version has a brushed case with polished bevelled sections; a departure from the C8 MkI, MkII and Flyer, all of which has a blasted finish to the case.
If I was after a GMT watch, which I'm not at present, it would be worthy of my consideration.

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
I'll consider steel with nylon specialist strap. I've got big wrists so 44mm is fine. I also like 11,5mm thickness.

I'm sorry for ranting then, and I'm obviously blind.Kip wrote:m0rt wrote:I like this a lot, but I do have one big complaint. I hate it when you have no idea of the size of the watch. My 44mm Hamilton Pan Europ sits perfectly on my wrist. I've sold my 44mm Steinhart Racetimer because it is waaaaay too big. Will this 44mm work for me? I'm talking about the lug-to-lug-length. Why is it so hard to write that number? I'm not buying anything until I know that simple measurement. I do not like smartwatches and I'll probably never buy an Apple watch, but I do know exactly how it will sit on my wrist, because they measure lug-to-lug (42 or 38).
The lug to lug measurement is listed in the specs on the website. It is stated as 53.2mm.

44 is a proper and decent size. More watches like this please.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:Quite. I thought we had got over all that. No...looks like we are heading back to the cloud forests of Rwanda again.FloridaPhil wrote:44mm! That kills it for me right there.

But it would be so much easier to find if the general specs were on the main page for each model. Instead, you have to drill down to a specific variation of said model just to find out info that applies across the board, like the lug to lug width, lug/strap width.m0rt wrote:I'm sorry for ranting then, and I'm obviously blind.Kip wrote:m0rt wrote:I like this a lot, but I do have one big complaint. Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
Looks like a decent price for the spec. I just wish I could pull that off.

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
Worldtimers are usually 44mm or above as they are hard to read otherwise.

^^^^ I think there are a few decent ones in 39mm-41mm case sizes as well.

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
It's just a bit large for me (LTL) and the crowns look a touch oversized, but otherwise I think I'd happily buy one.

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
I like this. Too big, but I like it. And I also prefer the steel over the black. (I think I'm largely over the all black case thing after having owned one for a while).
And tbh, the logo looks alright here to me. Might be one of those things where the logo looks better on some watch styles than others. Maybe it'll do better on dials where there's a bit more going on already, to help it blend in better.

Re: C8 UTC Worldtimer
Would really consider a worldtime, but 44 mil is really too big. Could a 40 mil work for Ch Ward ?

I think this is the pick of the current range to be honest, a lovely piece in so many ways.
