C8 UTC Worldtimer

Post by Kip »

I have manged to acquire some photos of the "Coming Soon" C8 UTC Worldtimer.

Not much info regarding specs, but I believe this to have the ETA 2893 movement and that the case will be available in SS or DLC.

My first reaction. Odd crown decoration. Nothing like those I recall from the chat download and nothing like the new CW +X flags logo/image.

As mentioned on the chat, I'd be all over this if it weren't for that logo. Oh well, saving myself some pennies :)

Same here, I would be waiting in line for one as I think this is the most interesting design for a good while, the multi layer dial and detailing is lovely...... only one thing ruins it :silent:, which kills any interest in it or anything else they bring out.

Just waiting for Brand IV to come around to see if it rekindles any desire.

I like it more than when it was shown at the chat. The detailing looks good, the semi-sandwich dial is clever, but I hate those hands and an interesting point made about the crown décor. But as others have said, the logo and it's position is a deal breaker. So based on what we can see, it's gets a, 'so near but so far', verdict from me.

I think this is a strong design and the watch looks "quality". It may tempt me, although I believe it's the 44mm case, which in all honesty wears a bit large on my wrists.

I was able to handle a prototype of this when I went to CW Towers. I thought it was lovely, would certainly consider buying one.
There's always time for one more.

I do like this as well, although the crown decor is puzzling. I think this will wear a bit smaller than previous 44mm by CW due to the bezel.

Did you try it on Paul?

I'm liking that a lot, especially with dark face with vintage lume. Be interesting to see the price point.

I tried it on when I was there for my visit recently Kip. 6.5/6.75" wrist.

Of the three new watches, D type, Zagato and this, this is is only one to tempt me. Not into scrap metal watches and the D type and Zagato are just dull watches. This I like and am not too bothered by the new branding. Worryingly it looks less appealing on the wrist. Guess need to be up close to appreciate the dial.

Definitely the best of the new watches.

However, there are elements like the GMT hand that put me off.

If this was a woman I'd definitely not kick it out of bed. However, I don't want to settle down with it as the one either. So it is so close yet misses the mark. Maybe if it had a sister? ;)
