Re: Trident
Nice, how about a rubber strap or a bracelet with a proper divers extension?

Re: Trident
Finally. This is the CW I've been waiting for.
As you say, early stages. I feel the hands needs changing, but a very good preliminary design.
Now, two things. Please ensure the bracelet is TOP quality. And please sort out an auto. I won't be buying it if it is quartz.
Keep up the great work.

Re: Trident
It's time for the bracelets to match the quality of the watches. Stop using these cheap and nasty bracelets Mr CW!lamppo_the_GasFitter wrote:I agree, it is time for a new style C4/C6 steel strap.

At least offer an upgraded bracelet as an option.

Re: Trident
It's OK but I don't think I'd be likely to buy it, and I am afraid I don't like thar trident thingy!
Re: Trident
Very nice new diver.... please please please ensure the strap has a 'proper' fold-over type clasp and not
a dress watch (IMO) style butterfly clasp.
Also, what happened to the gents version of the splash?

Re: Trident
I concur, a serious divers watch needs a serious strap (not bracelet). Please can you look at a decent silicon strap and also offer updated straps for the C6 & C600.MarkF wrote:please please please ensure the strap has a 'proper' fold-over type clasp
The C600 is currently crippled as a serious divers watch as it's capable of being worn by a saturtion diver but only inside his wetsuit as the current strap doesn't have sufficient expansion/length to wear with thermal undies in the diving bell and then worn over the wetsuit cuff when 'outside'.
I understand that most serious divers don't wear braelets because of the risk of damage to the hand if it becomes trapped (degloving)

Re: Trident
How about a long NATO or a Rhino or a Waterbourne - far more secure and more comfortable if you are wearing it without the wetsuitrcherryuk wrote:.......... Re: Trident
A CW Branded NATO - now we're talking.
I would buy a good few of them for my other watches

Nice looking design, but a true divers watch needs an auto-movement and sweeping second hand! CW have to do an auto-movement version of this watch! Also the lume has to be superlume, the CW lume on my C5 aviator is to dimm for a divers watch!

Text on dial:Kip wrote:I can only tell you that this is a Work in Progress and that it is meant to be a quartz movement.
"Trident-PRO"
Why PRO?
Is there a none-PRO model? Would the GMT model be Trident None-professional/amateure model? Normally an automatic GMT would be the professional watch contra a quartz none-GMT, just like with the Omega Seamaster.
If you go with Trident GMT on the GMT model, this one could simply be called "Trident". And only capital letter on the first letter of each word.
"-" On dial is a no no

Finish
I would prefer brushed steel finish instead of bead blasted. Bead blasted is the worst finish. The polished part on bracelet can stay, as well on the bezel-ring

Re: Trident
I presume the Trident's similarity to the Bremont Supermarine is intentional?

I don't mind, as I think the CWL is nicer, but it is just a shame that it's a quartz so I won't be getting one.
