Re: Trident
You know what, I quite like it. So far (keeping in mind it's early days) it looks as though there are some nice refresh touches to the watch.
Remember this in reality is CWLs bread a butter watch, this update to their best selling line needs to strike a fine balance between maintaining the appeal of the current C60 whilst addressing some of its qwerks to appeal to a larger new customer base along with repeat customers.
Between us all the existing C60 qwerks such as bezel, date window etc have been accepted and eventually 'loved' as part of its charm but the success of the Brand is purely going to be measured in units sold so address these qwerks should see more sold as it will appeal to more people including those wavering at present. I does however run the risk of falling in with the rest of the crowd.
In the year or so of being a forum member I have seen numerous requests for a quartz version in order to hit a particular price point for more 'casual' customer whom perhaps don't share the same mechanical sympathy as us dedicated followers but still want a good looking quality sports watch. That area of the market seems to be a pretty big one with a lot of low hanging fruit that the current CWL line up doesn't quite meet. Maybe they are looking to take some further business from the like of seiko, citizen, tissot that cover that space at present.
For me though I don't think it could be called trident pro, not if it is marketed as a dive watch. The pro element should be reserved for the automatic.
Perhaps just Trident?

Colour of that bezel is outstanding...Kip wrote:I can only tell you that this is a Work in Progress and that it is meant to be a quartz movement.

Re: Trident
Blimey, the undead thread that won't die...
Ah, the fabled "Teal Trident" -- I suspect it's a little too close to the current dark green bezel version but this exact colour-scheme with teal bezel, black dial and red trident second hand (and red depth rating text) would make a blinding addition to the Mk2 line-up.
Actually, scrub that; it's just too legendary for the regular retail line. I want to place my marker, here and now, that a Mk2 version of this classic piece of CW mythology most definitely *should* be the 2016 FLE, if only they can get the colour right in ceramic...
You read it here first!!

Black face, option of silicone strap and 600 pro lines on the face but with tritium not luminescence. Tritium, tritium, tritium. By the way did I mention tritium.

Re: Trident
I would suggest that if anyone wishes to make comments regarding the C60 Trident MKII that you start a new topic. At least look up,one that is in 2015.
This topic was started in 2010 about a now discontinued model.
