2010 Models

Post by Kip »

Chris has released a few early drawings of the 2010 models.

Keep in mind that these are all a work in progress. It is not to late to offer your suggestions and opinions.

I am giving you all the info I have to date.

More will follow when available.

Isn't it great to see the development process from this early stage - and to have some kind of input?

Fantastic! Thanks for posting these Kip! :D

Great to see something new on the forum for discussion Kip, getting a little tired of the sale bargain threads. :D
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

I get the horrible feeling I had better start saving my pocket money, looks like some must have's coming up this year....
Great to see some of the up-coming designs early on and to see some of the feedback. Thanks for the heads-up.

Not sure yet...everything is too new but it looks like CW is moving back towards the "Classic" looks he should be known for.

C9 and GMT Trident of interest so far.

But just 2 requests, please:

1) Black date wheels on black dials
2) Decorated movements (not just the rotor) if watch has exhibition back, otherwise what's the point!

Yes they will put the price up but not by much

Yep, I'd go with that!!

As for the date wheel......think it depends on the the watch and dial to some degree?!! The date wheel is white on the Trident, which I think would make it more visible and not detract from the look. On other watches, this may not be the case?!!

1) YES, black on white doesn't make it more visible against a black dial, it just makes it stand out for all the wrong reasons :D But seriously Guys, when I'm diving I don't suddenly need to know the date, do I? I'd rather have extra lume so I can see how many minutes I've got left.

2) This could even be a cost option, but I for one would pay the extra for a fully decorated movement, especially on an LE.

This could be an expensive year (in an inexpensive value for money way) :)

Excellent to see the design process and get a chance to provide feedback 8)

Thanks Kip & CW!

I am so pleased. I've liked CW for a while but I'm a GMT fan so haven't made one mine. Now two come along at once.

Not sure about that as my Omega Seamaster has a white on black date wheel and it pops out at you. Saying that,I have never felt the need to check the date on a Diver when 120 feet underwater

I see your point  I don't 'do' diving, but I can't imagine you'd suddenly be needing to know the date while you were down there, and then thinking 'oh if only the date wheel was white on black' !! lol

Help please. Like oragdav I cannot find the pictures for the sneak previews and Richard's guidance didn't help. I couldn't go up a level into topics.
