It's has stopped running a second time, this time it had restarted itself so I couldn't see at what time exactly but I know it was in the last hour before the date change, just as the first time it stopped.

And that was not all, after I wanted to change the time this morning I noticed the connection between the crown and the hands was 'skipping' every couple of turns. And at certain times (hand positions) it is completely disengaging, now after waiting for half an hour it can be changed again but it will skip and stop turning altogether before you are 12hours further.

This is not good. So I guess mine also needs to be returned :( :( :(

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure the mighty Wera will fix it.

My Titanium bracelet has arrived. I shall drop it round to CWL to be fitted to my C11 MET. :D
Hope the colour match is good :?
Very light weight, kepping it under a heavy book so it doesn't float away.

I was on holiday in Dec and did not get a chance to pre-order this with the discount. When I got the e-mail last week, it got me hooked again. To my surprise & utter delight it has both Titanium & COSC! My experience in life with other tech products has been they would tend NOT to offer too many special features on one model. That would either make it too expensive or people would not buy their other lesser models. I thought CW would only put one of them on but not both. (If this was an Aviation/Sport version with a GMT hand then it would been even better!) I am even happy with the yellow hands, whether they are darker than they should be or not. I was seriously considering ordering one.

However, I am glad I came here today first reading all your great inputs and feedback. This has left me in two minds now and can't decide.

Loves: :D
  • Overall classic design (fairy original)
    That crystal glass
    Titanium
Chronometer (for accuracy, or so I thought)
Helium release valve (for the real divers)
Internal rotating bezel (at least useful for the desk divers like myself in the kitchen)
Hates: :(
  • 42mm diameter (like mabotham, I don't have thick wrists)
Chronometer COSC (it is meant to be super accurate, doesn't it)
Quality Issues (at least for the first batch, hopefully the later ones will improve)
Rubber strap (I know it is meant to be a diver's watch. For us desk divers, leather or metal instead included in the price would been more cost effective for what is already an expensive CW watch)
That Fish Engraving on the back that can leave a tell tale imprint
Hate is such a strong word, but I wanted to use the word "Love" as well. Anyway apologies if I have offended anyone!

mabotham,

Two things if you could help with:

1. As I said I think I have similar small wrists like yours (from your photo). Is it uncomfortable to have a big watch like that as your main daily wear watch?

2. Once you have yours back, could you let us know if the accuracy has improved? Do you think the faults you had were die to poor workmanship or other reasons?

Many thanks!

1. No, it's dead light and the strap holes are enough for a tight fit. It doesn't look stupidly at all.
2. Think I was a little unlucky. The watch itself looked v.good. Im sure a bit of fine tuning with the movement should do it. I do question the QC though, as the bezel alignment should have been picked up upon & as it hasn't, it is now costing them in postage and extra work. Easily a cost that could have been avoided.
