Hi, new member here. Really liking the Christopher Ward watches and thinking about a C60 purchase.
I have read about a new logo, is that the "CHR. WARD" from the pictures (as opposed to Christopher Ward)? Thanks all.

I think I prefer the new logo if I'm honest, and the new C60 carries it very well, does anyone know why the C60 has the date window shaped as a box instead of a circle (I just think a circle would be more I keeping with the style of the face).ianblyth wrote:Welcome. This is the new logo

I think it's so you don't confuse date window with teardrop shaped hour hand when glancing at watch?

No, you are not alone Richard! I've seen it in the flesh/metal as well, and it is definitely not for me. Too bad, as it stops me from buying.downer wrote:I know.... a broken record..... As a designer - I can argue a number of reasons why from a design point of view the new logo is better but I guess it is all down to familiarity and what it says to the viewer, any logo is going to split opinion, when you only have / have had one logo, then folks don't grumble as there is no alternative - they may not like it, but there is no comparison... as soon as a new logo comes along, there is an opportunity to compare, so those with one preference or another express it
Personally I much prefer the new logo - I find the old one looks old fashioned - I am so glad it is not on the C900 / JH2 as their modern sleek looks would I believe be compromised by it... but it isn't enough to stop me from buying a watch - e.g. the Pepsi I recently bought...
ultimately personal preference I suspect

In hindsight, I'm not too sorry about the logo change because it encouraged me to broaden my horizons and seek out other brands, which in turn led me to acquire some very nice watches from other makers. Life moves on, and a change is as good as a rest.Wis wrote:No, you are not alone Richard! I've seen it in the flesh/metal as well, and it is definitely not for me. I'm not opening that can of worms. A small peek is enough.
