And I forgot to mention that Chris has been playing with different coloured dials and bezels for the Trident C60 inspired by our efforts. Although I got the impression that he had not quite found the colour he was looking for especially with the light green dial he showed me.

Agreed. The scooter looks green in a certain light. Looks cracking.

When the time is right Kip will reveal all. CWL are very good at giving us information prior to launch. The watches won't be released until Autumn and as some of us know releases can spread to Winter. Ask those who pre order only to see dates slip. So patience is a virtue.

Ahem. Remember my entry in the 2012 FLE contest (see my avatar)? I was going for the lime-green Stowa diver look. Obviously no one was very impressed. :D

Back on that C11 Marlin, forgive my ignorance but what's the "tube"?

This observation might clash hideously with the first question but in for a penny...

Don't divers watches usually have a screw in back not the four screw, "push on" (for want of a better phrase), back that the C11 currently has?

And last but not least, in his post ianblyth has stated limited edition, where's the waiting list? I want my name down for one of those pronto (subject to a decent spyshot or actual product image of course).

That should do the trick for now.

Keeping in mind that the C11 Marlin is in the concept/design/prototype stage, I would imagine nothing has been cast in stone. When and if a waiting list is announced I'm sure we will hear it here first. :)

The tube is the piece that is pressed/screwed into the side of the case that the winding stem goes through to reach the movement. A screw down crown usually screws onto the tube and the gaskets inside the crown press against the tube to provide water/dust protection.

I knew it'd be a Kip response that answered the question. Thanks Kip.

There's still one question outstanding though!

If you are referring to the caseback.....

It comes down to design of the case/caseback/gasket which is used...either way, screwed down or screw on is acceptable.

It is the construction of the whole package that provides the WR rating.

http://www.hodinkee.com/blog/2012/3/30/ ... ve-pi.html Would a CW monopusher look something like the Bell & Ross? Any small clue on how long before a glimpse of the CW would be possible? Ed
