Noush - May 2021

The collection is in a Good Place just now and it's time to relax and enjoy as is. What a journey.
For me it splits into 2 parts.
Back row in this pic consists of my wear-to-work watches which given the nature of my work I NEED to be robust, comfortable and have some WR. I WANT them however to have style and variety. Taken me a couple of years to come together like this but I'm thrilled to have such cool pieces to wear to work. L to R:
1. Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic 2. Christopher Ward C65 Trident Diver 3. Direnzo DRZ_3 Eclipse 4. Phoibos Eagle Ray. 5. Dekla Type A Flieger (on Fridays, of course...)
Front row are my after-work/ "at leisure" watches. The three in the middle are what I consider my "Premium 3 watch sub-collection". Either side the 2 that get to "go somewhere nice" :) L to R:
1. Tissot Carson Premium 2. Tudor Black Bay 58 Navy Blue 3. Longines Avigation Big Eye 4. Formex Essence 39 5. Stowa Marine 36.

I have a couple of others in the background - not shown in this pic - A G-Shock DW5600 for Heavy Duty moments, a Pagani "Daytona Panda" that taught me what a proper chronograph needed to be, and a Seiko Cocktail Time Blue Moon that gets a run every now and then: a bit flashy.

Nice collection there, particularly the crowd occupying the front row seats. The three in the middle are killer; very much like the Big Eye. The Stowa looks really nice, a classic, just don't ever see me owning a 36mm watch. Has the Formex got the new logo iteration, I think it does at that size?

Thanks Des. Yes the Essence 39 has the new logo arrangement and so much better for it. Great watch. The Big 3 are just fantastic, all of them. Not one here I don't enjoy a LOT though. The 2 blue ones today :)

Lovely collection Chris, I don't think there are really any weak links there.

The two star performers for me are your recent acquisitions of the BB58 blue (wearing mine today coincidentally) and the Longines Big Eye.

No pun intended!

Great collection there. Nice smattering of microbrand and heavy hitters. Brings the collection a nice balance I think.

Great balance and love the at work and at home sectioning! Like the C65 and the Longines chrono as the two picks of the litter for my eyes!

I feel exactly the same about where my collection is now, and it's a lovely feeling after what can be a lot of time spent working on the collection and a lot of trial and error as to what works. So enjoy where you've reached - your collection is a real achievement.

I just love the big eye... :fondof:

A great collection, Chris. You have done really well to assemble those. I’m not a Black Bay fan but I do like the colour on yours. The more I look at that Big Eye chronograph the more I like it. And I think the Stowa is lovely too.

HOMEWORK: your next task is as follows –

1. Line them all up within the box, all ship shape and Bristol fashion.

2. Photograph them all showing the correct time. :D

A nicely varied collection Chris.

That Big Eye and the Stowa are beauts. My eye was immediately drawn to the dial on the Phoibos. That looks really good!

Thank you all for the positive and supportive comments.
To address some of these:
"Challenge" accepted, Steve. This was a quickie to see what the collection looked like with the Big Eye in place. Chuffed with what I saw.
The Phoibos is a really we'll-made watch for its price. Welcome splash of colour too.
Not discussed but wearing it at work today, that Direnzo is a gorgeous piece. Must do a NCWOTD with that.
The Heavy Hitters exist because of what the previous watches taught me about what I like best. The best thing is that somehow I appreciate the others even more now because of their contributions to the journey.
It's a very wonderful thing that @missF and I have found a Good Place almost simultaneously. Bravo, girl!
