Thermexman-Feb 21

Post by Thermexman »

Haven’t done this for a while but being as there’s been some significant movement recently, I thought it’s time for an update. I’ll start with the overview pic for reference:

43586758-5492-4E30-B3EB-821022F743CF.jpeg

2020 outgoings:

CW C60 Trident Mk1 Black Dial.
CW C60 Trident MK2 White Dial.
CW C600IPY Tri-Tech-Elite Yellow dial.
Sinn 103 St Sa e Chronograph.

2020 incoming:

Top left: Seiko SPB149 J1 LE.
Top row second from left: Seiko SPB079J1.
Bottom left: Casio GW-M5610.
Bottom row second from the left: CW C65 Chronograph.

Incoming 2021

Bottom row third from left: CW C65 Dartmouth.
Plus a new bracelet for my CW C65 Trident Vintage Diver so probably counts as a “new watch?”

Oh, and a new capacitor fitted to the Seiko Kinetic at top right.

I’m currently feeling rather content with this selection.
Steve.

The Seiko SPB079J1 might be my all around favorite dive watch at the moment (and it’s black bezel cousin). I love how Seiko manages to make elegant dive watches that still clearly look like tool watches.

Wonderful collection! Thanks for sharing.

Superb collection, Steve!

Funny how different ones stand out for different people. Definitely the Ranger for me! :D

A nice tight (dirty?) Dozen there Steve.

I can understand no dress watch, but no Aviator either? Perhaps the Sports watch within the Ranger counts in lieu.

You’re correct regarding dress watches Guy. I like them, just wouldn’t wear one sufficiently to warrant buying one.

I’ve had ‘Aviators’ before and I do like them too, just not enough to keep them, I guess.

My obvious preference is for the Diver, even though I’ve never been deeper than a Snorkel would allow.

As for the Ranger, rightly or wrongly, I’d probably put that in the ‘Field watch’ category myself. Another category that I particularly like.

Great collection Steve! Love these and other SOTC posts. The C65 Chronograph captures me....most tempted by the NN one for sale with all the splendid pictures you post of it.
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy

Plenty to like there Steve.

Sticking to the brands you like, in the styles you like. I approve.
