Re: Thermexman-Feb 21
Plenty of good stuff in there. If we’re choosing favourites I’ll go for the Seiko LE, the Dartmouth and, surprisingly for me at least, the CW chrono.

Thanks, both of those Seikos are rather nice up close. I'm very well thanks, hope that you are too?timeonourhands wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:31 am Nice stuff, Steve.

I’m well, thanks.
The bezel of the SPB079J1 looks great.
It reminds me of the way the bezel on the mm300 changes in the light.

It's a lovely petrol blue shade and looks almost liquid like, due to it's glossy finish. I've no idea how they achieve that? I'm sure it's just painted aluminium but it has an almost ceramic quality to it?timeonourhands wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 10:47 am I’m well, thanks.

That's a great selection that you have there Steve
All very nicely presented.
Difficult to pick a favourite but I do find myself drawn to the CW C65 Chronograph.

If I pretend that the G-Shock simply doesn’t exist that’s a superb collection Steve. One that I do miss seeing on the forum is your Sinn 103 - if it was 3 or 4mm thinner it could almost be the perfect watch... but then, perhaps that’s why you no longer have it, and very much why I didn’t buy it the moment you put it up for sale.
I still very much like the Kinetic Seiko, but then I own the same watch in a black dial. For my money, it’s a toss-up between the two Tudors...

Re: Thermexman-Feb 21
That's a nice collection Steve, you clearly like your Seiko's, rightly so.
My favourites are probably the C65 chrono & Dartmouth plus your BB ETA and Ranger.
Your SPB149 looks excellent too although I find some of the 44mm Seiko divers a little large for my wrist.

Re: Thermexman-Feb 21
Thanks Patrick, the 149 is actually only 40mm so, is a much nicer size than the Turtle or the Samurai at 44mm. Fortunately, I can get away with the larger ones but am leaning towards the smaller stuff, these days.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 2:35 pm

As for why I sold the Sinn? I had my eye on a couple of up coming watches and decided to sell off some watches to release the cash. Being as one of the watches I was fancying was the C65 Chrono (before I'd even seen it?) it made sense to offload the Sinn Chrono for three reasons:
1) Value
2) it was a chrono.
3) didn't want to sell my Tudors
Steve.

Re: Thermexman-Feb 21
here's a link to a review of my 149. It's an LE so you might struggle to grab one but they do different dial colours so the review applies to those in terms of description I guess.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 3:03 pm
